Lailah by Nikki Kelly

Tim  J., 14
Nikki  Kelly
Lailah
Feiwel  and  Friends 2015

This  book  is  fast  paced  and  exciting  but  the  plot  needs  work.  The  way  she  wrote  the  book  kept  me  going  and  for  the  most  part  I  could  not  put  it  down.  If  it  was  not  for  the  way  she  wrote  the  book  I  probably  would  have  stopped  reading  half  way  in.

The Young Elites

Karissa,  16
Marie Lu
The Young Elites
Penguin Group 2014

This was a great read! The plot for this page-turning book was very new and original. Marie Lu fills the pages of this novel with non-stop action intertwined with endless emotional tolls. The main character, Adelina Amoutera, takes a different role than most central characters which creates a new reading experience. Being one of the few who survive the Blood Fever, Adelina has to make many difficult choices throughout the novel. You won't be able to put this book down until you've reached the last page!

I would highly recommend Marie Lu's other books from the Legend series if you enjoyed The Young Elites.
