The Last Bogler by Cathrine Jinks is not what I expected. I honestly think that it could be a good book but was not what I would consider "a great". I must say though that some of the parts in it were interesting, but not my liking. But I did not know that it was the third book in a book series so I must say that it is a good-by-itself-book.

I LOVED this book!!! For me I thought it was a real page turner. I liked the characters  names, for example, the main characters Joyeax and her hounds names such as Baya and Dusana. The idea of hounds was very creative and interesting. Overall the whole book was interesting: the setting of Apex city 200 years in the future, the monsters like Drakken, Tommy Knockers and Red Caps. I also thought it was well written, had smooth transitions and was so well described it put a picture in my mind. The only thing I didn't really like was it seemed the slightest bit religious, but every book has a fault. In all, the book was intriguing and I believe other people will love this book too.  I highly recommend it.

Death Date

One of the things I really like about this book is the suspense and the mystery. I also really liked how the author gave great evidence pointing toward a different person. The author portrayed Madalyn as being on her own as her world crashed down around her. I felt like the book was an easy and fast read that made me want to read more. I found nothing that I didn’t like about this book just that I hope the author comes out with another.

This book had a very intruiging concept; however, it was not executed very well. I did not enjoy the main character, nor any of the other cast. Additionally, the depictions and language of modern highschoolers was way off. I felt like I was reading about a group of middle schoolers. There was also a nickname of POTUS, that was used for one of the teachers in the novel, which got very annoying. Given these points, the book was exciting when it reached its climax-unfortunately, that wasn't until the last quarter of the book.

Told in the perspectives of both the main characters, Zac and Mia meet while in the hospital- for cancer.
