Valkyrie Rising by Ingrid Paulson

Ingrid Paulson
Valkyrie Rising
Harper 2012

This book was well written, but slightly confusing. It went from Ellie being a timid, intimidated person to someone with a strong personality, and it seemed like a very sudden transition. It was different in that the heroine, Ellie, kept loosing all of the fights she got into. That was odd, but refreshing. This was a good book overall, and I would read the sequel, if one was made. The material in the book was engaging and entertaining. The style it was presented in was the confusing part.

Tap Out
2012 Running Press

it was a good book with a promising story to tell but unfortunatly i never got past the first hundred pages, not becuz it was boring ; far from it . its a very exciting book with plenty of intresting and visual fighting scenes the reason that i didnt finish was becuz there was a curse word every other sentence  the author could of gone a little easer on the cursing and language .

Beyond Courage by Doreen Rappaport

Beyond Courage
Candlewick Press 2012

Beyond Courage shows how people survive in holocaust during world war 2 . I would recommend  this book because it shows courage and ingenuity . How people survive this war and they hope for the future ,also safe others from die trying .
I like authors use maps and diagrams ,photos, repuductions ,a pronunciation guide,a timelines of important events ,bibliography ,source notes and an index ,and acknowledge and how she shows her resources and shows her work. I like her what she say " How Jews oraganized themselevs in order to survive and defy their enemy is an important but still neglected peice of history ".That true about Jews . I agree ,.When I read this book in I imaged how I will survive if I this world and how will I do . She shows actions and effects with hope in this book . The book tells how Jews survive in holocaust and trying to safe others.

Amber House
Arthur A. Levine Books 2012

This is a wonderfully written book told from the point of view of Sarah, a 15 year old girl. Throughout the story you find Sarah in unimaginable adventures into the past when she explores Amber House. Centuries old and has been in the Parson family for many generations. A great read that keeps you wanting to know more. I loved reading this book and could hardly put it down.
