I actually got this book before I realized it was the fourth. Amazingly though, I could peace together the information and understand it really well even without reading the other books. A really cool story although it did get a little confusing at the end. I can't wait to read the other books. It would be cool to find out why Emma's grandfather died and if he was murdered or not.

This book made me very emotional but I could also not stop reading.  It was a page turner from the very beginning and I read all 293 pages in one night.  Sarah Meadows is the main character and is the most brave person I have ever read about.  No matter how self conscious she is and no matter how low her self-esteem is, Sarah will stand up for anyone.  If Sarah were a real person, I would want her by my Side if I was being picked on.   This is the most amazing book ever, I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

I would recommend this book because it keeps you on your toes throughout the entire book. You never know what going to happen next. This book is about a girl who has to make the hardest decision of her life. With unknown consequences and possible rewards. This book takes you through a life choice, friendship, and love. If you ever read the Hunger Games you will love this book. i'm only saying that much because I don't want to give anything away

Anqi,    12
Veronica Roth
Divergent
Katherine Tegen Books    2011

Set in a dystopian Chicago, Beatrice acts and talks like an Abnegation, one of the five factions that split up the one glorious city. Each faction represents one value that that faction admires and honors. Abnegation is for selflessness, Dauntless for bravery, Erudite for smartness, Candor for honesty, and Amity for peacefulness. But Beatrice isn't satisfied with staying an Abnegation forever. Selflessness comes with its own price-plain food, gray clothes, and the inability to express oneself are some of the things Abnegation requires for their members so that they never think of themselves, but of others. But a chance does come for Beatrice on her sixteenth birthday, when all sixteen year olds gather together to choose their new factions, either to stay in their old faction or go on, and pass initiation to become a part of that new faction. But what Beatrice is about to learn is that each choice has crucial consequences-and this one choice might be the most important of all in this seemingly perfect society that might not be what they all think it is.

First of all, I loved the world of Divergent. Though the premise seems similar to other dystopian novels, like Matched or Delirium, or even the older novel of The Giver, the people in this world don't walk around like their zombies, being controlled by other people telling them what to say and do. In fact, every faction is fleshed out, the characters and culture fresh and original. I also very much enjoyed the voice of Beatrice, later renamed Tris, who comes with her own spunk and isn't monotonous like some futuristic heroines. She is also indeed a very realistic character, and though most of the time she is a very normal teenager, some situations allow her to conform into a different person, which adds even more texture to her personality.

The romance was fun as well, though the similar set-up compared to many other novels I've read was bearable but equally frustrating at points.

The thing that really set this book apart for me was the balanced action scenes; they not only gave me space to think but they weren't all just kicking and fighting, as Tris seems to develop a lot of her character during these sequences. Though this might sound tranquil, it was also very violent; if you fans of the Hunger Games thought that that book was brutal, be prepared for Divergent, because Veronica Roth is not afraid to describe blood and guts here.

Overall, I would suggest you buckle in your seatbelts for Divergent, because you will be forced to jump down not a couple of high buildings. Roth's storytelling is definitely a recent winner of young adult crowds, and the amazing debut author should be ready for an onslaught of fans (me!) when the next installment of the Divergent trilogy is released.

I think the book was amazing because the girl lived by herself. She misses her boyfriend. He comes back and then her boyfriend changes her life. She never gave up. She imagined her boyfriend and she would have a good life. She has a lot of friends and her parents support her, but they don't trust her. Now her parents believe in her. Back then she did a lot of bad things, like getting kicked out of a club. Now she does good things and she's out of jail.
I liked the book beacuse shows that Maddie never give up and I glad that she remember her boyfriend Justin . If she don't remember her boyfriend than she have a hard life .

Feedback snagged me and had my nose buried inside the pages until I finished. It was intriguing for every minute: wondering what Benson was going to do or gasping as sudden twists of the story completely altered your prospective. Also, I loved the fact that the plot had no weird jumps in logic that sequels seem to display when the author goes for a new twist to keep the story fresh; In contrast, the book felt well planned out with all the ways it referenced from the knowledge gained in Variant while expanding it and showing another side of the program looming over Maxfield Academy. On the other hand, this is NOT a stand-alone novel. Within the first sentence you need to know what happened in the first book and who everyone is.

I really appreciated this book. There was a lot of romance, and even maybe a little suspense. This book grabbed my attention from the very first sentence to the very last. I really hope there is a sequal because i would definately love to read it. Tankborn is a great book about the hardships of two young girls who are thrown into a conspiricy and then finds love, life and friendship through those around them.  I loved this book! I can't say much more than I absolutely loved this book. Couldn't have been better

This book was AMAZING. This is the sequal to Delirium, it was bouncing back and forth into time. Lena has lost someone very close and now shes joined a rebellion. She meets someone new but willl her love come back? The ending was very shocking. I had my nose in the booka nd I didnt wanna stop reading. As soon as I was done with the book I almost demanded the next book. The ending was such a cliff hanger it drove me crazy.! This book has to be one of my very favorites.

I absolutly love this bookk so very much. If I could say yes for the the list i would say yes a million and one times.

Belle's Song
Walker & Company 2011

Belle, daughter of a Bellfounder, is used to jabs about her name.  She is worried about other matters, however.  Belle's father was crippled by a bell falling from the steeple it was to be hoisted into.  Though he survived the incident, he was unable to work.  When a group on pilgrimage to Canterbury goes through town, Belle joins it in hope that it will heal her father's legs.  This was a great book I would recommend for its wonderful development of character and great plot twists.  Belle is a very relatable character, and her quirks such as counting in threes help develop her relatable nature.
