A Feiwel and Friends Book 2011

This book was an exhilerating read. I hated the ending but I pray for a second book. Enclave is about a girl named Deuce and a boy named Fade. They live underground and protect their enclave from the Freaks. When they are exiled they have to face the strange and terrifying land of Topside. There they encounter dangerous gangs and smarter Freaks. They meet new friends and together traverse this new world. I loved this book and it had me flipping pages well into the night.

This book told from the point of veiw of a girl who is a witness to a murder. The story revolves around Penelope's adventure to find the murderer and to find out about herself as well. Penelope meets new people that help her along in her journey. She also goes to places and does things that most people wouldn't dream of doing. This story will keep you on your toes the entire time and the end was unexpected when I read it. It's a good book that I wouldn't mind wasting an afternoon reading it all over again.

I LOVED this book. I've found that few books can effect my emotions as strongly as The Sweetest Spell did.  I cought myself smiling, frowning, and even crying at the twists and turns through out the book.  I also found that I could relate to the male charicters as well as I could to the female charicters, which I havn't found scince I read the Eragon series.  I would recomend this to anyone who liked the Eragon, Hunger Games or Ranger's Aprentice series.

The Chaos is the sequel to the book Numbers. I really like this book more then the first one, because it had a lot of action in it, and it was a good read. The cover of the book matched the book really well too. In the book if you read the first one it leaves off with Adam who has his moms gift. It is written in two points of view. By Adam, and Sarah. Also that the end of the book, it has a big change. I like this book more than the first one, and i cant wait for the 3rd book to come out.

The book Shifting was one of the best books I've read yet. I couldn't put the book down. I would give the book a 9 out of 10 because, although it wasn't my favorite, it was deffinatly on my top 10. Bethany Wiggins tells an awesome story about a foster girl named Magdalene Mae aka Maggie Mae as she goes through foster homes after foster homes since she was five. And to top it all off, she's been changing into an animal in the last two years every full moon. I would reccomend this book to anyone looking for a good read that you don't want to put down. I think everyone should read this book because of it's awesome and captivating story.

I really liked this book, but it took me a long time to figure out big parts of the book. For example it took me many chapter to figure out that it is in the future, and not just a different world. It also took me a lot of the book to figure out the the main character is darker skinned, which doesn't matter except that the whole mental image is different. But on a scale from one to ten I would rate this book about seven. I think anyone who like science fiction and futuristic book would like this book.

Tricia Rayburn
Undercurrent A Siren novel
Egmont USA, New York 2011

Undercurrent is a great second book to Siren. I would give a 7 out of 10 because the story of Vanessa is told well with a twist at the end that you don't get in other books. The only thing that I didn't like about the book was that, although important events occured, the beginning was kind of slow and draged a little. Other than that Tricia Rayburn continues a great story about Vanessa and ends the book with me wanting more. I would reccomend this to any and all teenage girls because of its exciting plot, and the wonderful yet complicated relationship with Simon.  She has to go through many difficulties with her parent, Simon, and her best friend Page and to top it all off, she's a Siren. I can't wait to read the third book in Rayburn's awesome trilogy.

Dead To You, by Lisa McMann was a good book. The whole story line was a total twist at the end, you would never expect it. I did not like the ending though, it ended to soon and should have had more details. Personally I think if the book had a sequel I would be much more satisfied. Overall though it was a decent book. I would not recommend this book though because people, like me, will also be dissapointed by the ending.

Froi of the Exiles would be one of the best books i've read (up there with the Eragon books). The reason being it has all  of the qualities looked for in a great book. The main one is that you actually feel sad or happy or mad at the characters by the end of the book. This is a great book and I highly recommed it for any fan of fantasy. I would love a copy of this book!

Long Lankin was more of a mystery and a bit of of a horror book. Long Lankin was about two girls Cora and Mimi (Elizabeth) who have to go live with their Auntie Ida (Ida Eastfield) because their parents can't support them. Although when they went to live with their Aunt Cora wants to go home right away. But through the book Cora discovers that something dark is lurking in her aunts town and the two village boys try to help figure out what it is and what it's after. Because it just might be after Mimi Cora's little sister. I loved it. Had me turning the page with excitement every time. I really really liked it and hope I get it at the end of the year.

Where it Began
Simon Pulse 2012

Beginning with a great lead into the life of Gabby, a girl with a perfect life. Her new look has caught the attention of the most popular boy in school, Billy Nash and before she knows it she is in heaven, and is now Billy's girlfriend. Then, all too soon, she is ripped from her dream world and sucked back into reality after a tragic car accident that turns her world around. Stampler is able to play out the realistic characters throughout the story. She begins the book with a great hook, but during the rising action, it was harder to follow the story and loses the readers attention at times. This is a great book for those who enjoy realistic high school drama, but falls short at times to hold the readers attention. Stampler's book is a an interesting read, but was not the ideal book for someone who enjoys more action packed stories.
