The Taker by Alma Katsu

Alma Katsu
The Taker
2011

The Taker was an excellent book. The story itself is kind of hard to write about because it takes place in three different time zones with three different stories behind the time zones. This book is basically about people becoming immortal and about love, friendship, and murder. I really enjoyed and would most likely read it again sometime in the future. It is not a teen book. The content of the book leans more towards the appeal to adults.

Doglands
Random House 2011

This book was great and I loved it. I would highly recommend it to a dog lover and evern a cat lover, that it how good the book is. The most interesting part that I found about it was the different view point. It told me about how maybe dogs would think. It would great and highly recommended and should be entered in the Best Teen Fiction!! Great for any kind of animal lover and even a cat lover. It shows how animals might have a different view point from us!

The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa

Julie Kagawa
The Iron Knight
Harlequin Teen 2011

Those who have read the rest of the Iron Fey series and then moved on to this one generally have one of two reactions: they absolutely loathe this book or they fell so completely in love with it that they ended up raving about it. In all honesty, you cannot compare the two. This is more a parallel novel than anything else. With that in mind, I cast all inhibitions I might have had aside and dove into it with a clean slate. Reading Ash's story gave me a different perspective on the entire series; so much so that I thoroughly enjoyed not only the story itself but the chance to delve into Ash's past with a vigor that could only have been achieved with its own book. A beautiful conclusion to Ash and Megan's story. (Kagawa, if you're listening, I would propose that you come out with a parallel novel about Kierran, Ash and Megan's son. What would it be like to grow up as The Iron Prince, part-human and part-fey, having to deal with both Summer and Winter as well as the rest of the NeverNever? Just a thought.)

Starters
2012

This book. Oh my goodness. I can't truly put how good this book is into words. It keeps you on the edge of everything. This book caught my attention the minute I saw it. This book is about people called Starters and Enders and this company called prime destinations is a body bank the main person goes to and she ends up being a doner. This book seems all and well till the twist of her 3rd rental comes up. She did this for her brother for money after her parents died she was unclaimed, forced to run from being put into an institution. I can't get over how good this book is. It has the biggest twist at the end I couldn't stop at all. I was getting in trouble for not answering because I was reading....I MUST HAVE A COPY.  PLEASEEEEEEEEE. OH PLEASE CAN I HAVE A COPY.....?(: I will love you forever and ever and ever.
