The Infects by Sean Beaudoin

This book is one of those that you have to have a taste for, in my opinion. You have to have a crude/semi-dark sense of humor, a tolerance for fowl language, mentions of nudity, sexual themes and insanity/mental-illness. I originally wanted to read it just to find out what was with the chickens on the cover and how they connected to the story; once I found that out, I was sucked into the evolution of the Z and how Nick "Nero" was part of it and what happened to Petal through the first half of the story. I loved what I found. Again most won't like the weird, dark and crude humor, but those that do will like or love it and how there is detail of attacks is plus in my book.

This book is weird, but good and worth a read. I want to know if he has a sequel coming after this or a companion story.

Rating: 5 Hard to imagine a better book
