Body of Water is about twelve-year-old Ember who is homeless because a fire had burned their home. Started most likely by their next door neighbor. So now Ember’s family has no where to live. But every family has their own thing right??? But in this caus=e well... they have a different beliefs I should say. Ember’s mother can read tarot cards for a living. So they reason their house got burned down because Embers neighbor (and best friend dads had thought they were witches) belives that they are witches. But the reason Ember’s house is burned down is from her best friend. So he set the fire to warn them before his father does something even worse. So the family has to live at a camp site. It’s summer and Ember and her younger sister have no money and the school year is almost on its way. The only way Ember feels at peace is at.. well I should say where.. is floating in the middle of the lake at the campground. Now she has to make a new fresh start, but the question is can she make a new start? Its kinda of a slow read can kinda drags but in all its still a good book.
