Plagiarism

The Bistro Book Club requires that all reviews submitted by our teen reviewers be original work. At book club meetings we have talked about what plagiarism means. All suspicions of plagiarism are reviewed. If a review is found to contain plagiarized material it will be removed.

  1. If you have issues with a particular review please state the title, author, and reviewer of the book in question and leave an email address where you may be contacted.

  2. Apologies to anyone who had parts of their reviews plagiarized by one of the teen contributors to Bistro. It took quite a bit of digging to find out exactly which ones they were as the contributor has a common name that is shared by two other contributors. The offender's reviews have been deleted. We have talked about plagiarism in Bistro but will definitely be hitting on it again.

I was extremely saddened by the abusive comments that were left here. In the future, if you notice anything that appears to be plagiarism, please let me know the title of the book, the author, and the name of the review so the matter can be addressed quickly. If you leave an email address I can communicate directly with you. Threatening, anonymous notes at 3 am do not help resolve the problem.
