The Slayer Chronicles: First Kill by Heather Brewer

Heather Brewer
The Slayer Chronicles:  First Kill
The Penguin Group 2011

I would recommend this book to other teens.  It is a great sci fi/ fantasy about a boy who is trying to avenge his little sister's death by hunting down and killing vampires.  At times this book feels like a mystery book, full of suspense and those who killed who moments that people love.

This is the sequel to Superhuman and if you haven't read it do not read this review.

it continues directly after the first book and krodin was transported five years into the past. he has used this time to take comtrol of the U.S. military and basically has plans to gain control of the entire world. the five heroes must try and stop krodin. it was a really good sequel and i think that it was better than the first.

Invincible by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Dria, 17
Sherrilyn Kenyon

The much awaited Sequel to Infinity in the Cronicles of Nick. Nick Gautier, having defeated zombies must try his hand at something worse, normal people. More specifically his new football coach that wants Nick to steal from his classmates, threatening Nick with calling the police if he doesn't cooperate. Simi, CAleb, and Nekoda are back to help Nick before something really bad invades the halls of Squire high. THis book was so full of original voice and unique characters it kept me enthralled the whole way through. It was so good it required me to skip homework till I finished it, but the poor grades are more than worth reading this book again and again.

Clarity Fern has the gift of sight. When she touches an object she can see emotions and memories. Her mother and brother also have supernatural gifts and together they had a family buisness to entertain tourists. However one day a murder is comitted. Clarity's ex-boyfriend wants her to help with the investigation but she is still mad at the cheating jerk. The hits keep coming when she finds out that her smoldering new partner has multiple secrets and her brother becomes the prime suspect. Clarity must risk everything to uncover a twisted plot that could destroy her whole town. This was an excellent read. I really enjoyed it. Nothing is what it seems and the ending will shock the socks off you. There are so many twists and turn it's almost hard to keep up. In the words of some famous dead guy-Excellent, truly excellent

Kate Winters lives with her uncle in a bookshop. One day though the Wardens come to Harvest. They take men and women back to the fortress city of Fume. During the Harvest a collector named Silas comes and burns down her beloved bookshop looking for and a book called Wintercraft. In Wintercraft lies the secrets to death and the veil. Torn between the way she was raised and the new truth she is learning Kate must accept who she is in order to save those she loves. This book was very interesting. It has multiple plot twists that you don't expect and it's interesting to see how the characters change over the course of the book. I loved the ending. Once again it wasn't what you're expecting. It would be interesting to see a second book come from this.
