The Berlin Boxing Club by Robert Sharenow (10 reviews)

Josiah 17 Robert Sharehow The Berlin Boxing Club Harper Collins Publishers 2011 Even when Kari was in his lowest points in life he kept going. After Max lost to Joe Louise in real life he was still his friend, paid for his medical bills and he paid for his burial after he died in 1981. That teaches you to be a good sport and never give up no matter how hard it gets. Those are just two of many good things and teachings in this book. It was a very good book but it could hae had a much better ending, it left me with many unanswered questions. 4 Better than most

The Berlin Boxing Club is about a kid that is jewish and gets attacked by a wolf pack. In this time is when Adolf Hitler was around. Once I read this book I feel in love with it and read it 3 times already.

This book really grabbed me. I think this book should be nominated. It gives you a look at what Germany was really like during WWII.

I liked this book a lot. The story was very good about the boxing and the history of the Jewish people back during WWII. The only part I didn't like was the end of the book. I think the author could have made a better ending. I wasn't very explanatory but otherwise the book was very good.     I would also like to say I wouldn't mind owning it because this was a very good book

Dating back to the Holocaust in Nazi-era Berlin, Karl Stern, a Jewish 14 year old boy, is forced to stay under the radar. That is, until his pure "Aryan" school expels him along with several other Jewish boys. He recieves the opportunity of a lifetime when Max Schmeling, a boxing champion, vows to teach him his fighting styles. Will Karl be able to balance his obligation to his family with his commitment and ability to fight? This book was heart lifting. Although there contained violent and some inappropriate scenes.
