Still Sucks to be me

She turned and she had to fake her own death. She had to move far away. This was a book you could just keep reading. Hard to put down.

Rating: 5 Q. Hard to imagine a better book.

Should this be nominated for Teens' Top Ten? Why? Yes. Although it is the sequal to "Sucks To Be Me", the main character's ( Mina Hamilton) go for it attitude stays the same, and juust as in the previous book there's a surprising twist at the end. It leaves you wanting more!

Annotation: Every page in "Still Sucks To Be Me" compelled me to stay up till midnight every night 'till I finished the book. As in the first book, I was once again surprised with the twist ending, and just as always, I wanted more.

Additional Comments I want this book at the end of the year

Should this be nominated for Teens' Top Ten? Why? Yes. Its fun and I never want to put it down.

Annotation: It is about a vampire girl who has to fake her death to move from California to the middle of nowhere in Louisiana and fit in. The only other teen vamp in town could possibly be part of an evil vamp clan and a human won't leave her alone. Put that all together and your life sucks!

Additional Comments I would like a copy of this book.

Should this be nominated for Teens' Top Ten? Why? No

Annotation: Logan McRae is an average girl until she finds Fearless Astrology, and then her life is changed forever as she uses it to improve her life and her friends, as well as trying to snag a cute boy and catch a few troublemakers.

Additional Comments It was actually a good book, even though it dealt with astrology.

The River Kings Road is a story that switches between perspectives. It tells the intertwining stories of a wandering mercenry, a ugly peasant girl, a noble Sun Knight and his companion, a mainmed witch and her puppet, and a young lord whose ambitions create dark violence. In a world where magic is light and dark and power is everything people will always fight. As a village is murdured and only one child surviving, a dark witch practices blood magic in the forest. Will the Sun Knight be able to stop her or will his companion's feelings for him be the end.   It was a good book. I loved the slight romance and the fantasy.

Wonderful Job and hopefully we will see more of the Itheales chronicles.     I find this book very intresting the characters do each have some alterier motive. This makes the plot very entertwined. I didn't finish to the end but I got really close. The only addition that I can tell this needs is action. Their isn't enough raw action. Otherwise I congragulate Merciel for a job well done.

Should this be nominated for Teens' Top Ten? Why? No

Annotation: Complex, well-woven plots are exceedingly fun to read, but while The River King's Road is certainly complex, I can't say that it is well-woven. The characters are compelling, and the plot is intriguing, but the book fails to present good clarity. It started well, but I quickly became more and more confused. The political situation is never explained fully, and the web of lies the characters build their happiness and security on is muddled by switches in point of view. Were The River King's Road to be trimmed and streamlined, it could be an incredible novel, but until then, I doubt that many readers will forge their way through it.

Should this be nominated for Teens' Top Ten? Why? No

Annotation: After winning the fellowship, Logan has landed in the Writer's Camp at California State University in Monterey, which is run by her favorite author who she wants to make her mentor and be published in his new anthology. But she's not the only one who wants to be published as she finds herself in competition with her new crush while investigating the disappearence of a close-to-famous folk singer from the sixties who supposidly is haunting Monterey.

Additional Comments There was a lot of mystery going on, including a supernatural twist at the end.
