Garth is an ordinary kid, who lives with his mom, but has a bleak outlook on life due to an illness he has.  Frank Gallows is a laid-back detective for a secret government paranormal police who send back any ghosts that happened to wander into the world of the living.  In a strange incident, Frank ends up accidently sending Garth to the afterlife.  However, Garth quickly meets his grandfather, and together they travel to Ghostopolis, a place full of crime and hopelessess under the control of one man, named Vaugner who will do anything to gain control of Garth's newfound powers.    This book was funny, heartwarming, full of action, and really awesome!
