I thought this book was amazing. It's about a few sophmores trying to make it a worth while year. The main character Cooper is stuck with the most made fun of girl in school. But what he doesn't know is he will find something he never thought he would have...love.    Yes
5 Q. Hard to imagine a better book.
5 P. Everyone wants to read it.
I read all the time.

It is not a disgusting book but a great book about lying and school cliques. Wonderful book. 10 rating for this book.

Beat the Band is an interesting romp through Cooper's sophomore year. It should be noted that I haven't read the first in the series Swim the Fly, yet. Cooper Redmond has decided that this year is going to be the best. He's going to run all the bases... with as many girls as he can. His plan for popularity goes wrong when his health teacher pairs him with "Hot Dog" Helen Harriwick for a class presentation on contraception. So what's the only thing Cooper can do to save his reputation? Become a Rock God of course! While not as funny as I expected, this book did not disappoint. No matter how big of a jerk Cooper can be, you can't help but love him. This book kept me entertained, intrigued, and even in stitches at times.
4 Better than most
