That Dean was the bully and that Austin stood up to him through many ways.

It talks about true friends and how to come out of your shell.
5 Hard to imagine a better book
When Austin Gray decides to show Dean up by becoming the sweetheart of Prosper County, she makes new friends, finds love, and finally gets through to her rock hard mother.
