Million Dollar Throw
Describe the most compelling aspect of the book:
The storyline was very original.
Should this be nominated for Teens' Top Ten? Why?
4 Better than most
Nate Brodie's nickname is Brady. For two reasons: he is the biggest Tom Brady fan in the world, and he is one of the best (if not the best) 8th grade quarterback in the world. But his life is becoming even more complicated than a zen riddle. His dad is working all the time. His best friend Abby is going blind. His family might lose their home if they don't get money. Fast. So when Nate wins a contest, it is like a penny from heaven. The winner gets to go to Gillette Stadium and throw a pass from the 30 yard line into a target. If the pass is complete, he will get one million dollars. Nate has the best arm on a 13 year old. This should be a piece of cake. But his arm starts giving out during games. With the big day approaching fast, what is Nate going to do? A lot of girls will think "Oh, great, a sports book. I don’t want to read that." But I think this book is a great read for boy, girl, kid or adult. It is heartwarming and a great storyline.
