Prada and Prejudice by Mandy Hubbard

Author Mandy Hubbard
Title Prada and Prejudice
Publisher the penguin group
Publication date 2009
My review : Callie is your typical heroine, not popular, not in the “right” crowds, plain until all of that changes when she steps into her new pair of Prada brand shoes. Yet instead of transforming her into miss popular she is transported to 1870’s England. Taken in by Emily who’s under the impression that she’s her American friend Rebecca she meets with a series of cultural challenges as well as some difficult people. The thing I loved the most about this story was how over the course of the book Callie discovers that it isn’t always about what other people think of you but what you think of you that counts. I would rate this book at a 7.5 and recommend it to all girls with a strong spirit and a taste for the past.
